As part of our continuous business expansion, we have successfully ventured into various exhibition types, including the “Hong Kong Food Carnival”, “The Hong Kong Brands & Products Shopping Festival”, “The Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo, Macau”, “The Hong Kong International Education and Careers Expo”, and “International Automotive and Supply Chain Expo (Hong Kong)”.

The HKBPE originated in 1938 and has been relocated to Victoria Park in Causeway Bay, since 2003. Over the years, the HKBPE remains the largest outdoor exposition in Hong Kong and one of the most popular mega events in the city, acknowledged by tourists and locals alike. Its continuous growth and annual turnover record further demonstrate its significance.

To provide a platform for the exhibitors to collect information on the latest trend of the food industry and advocate for healthy eating habits, the Hong Kong Food Carnival was launched in 2009, aims. Initially held biennially, the Carnival gained significant recognition and popularity among industry professionals and the general public. Starting from 2015, it has transformed into an annual event, becoming a milestone as it celebrates its 11th edition.

In 2016, the Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo, Macau was first held in Macau and has successfully hosted its 6th edition. Each edition attracts over 100,000 visitors, effectively promoting Hong Kong brands in Macau. It has become a well-known event in Macau, creating inspiring achievements.

In 2019, the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong (CMA) took over as the organizer of the “Hong Kong International Education Expo”. Since its inception in 2004, the Expo has consistently attracted numerous local and international educational institutions, along with consultants. Over the years, it has evolved into one of the most popular and representative higher education expos in the city, providing students and parents with the best platform to explore local and overseas educational programmes. Starting from 2019, the Expo introduced the “Career Square” and was renamed the “Hong Kong International Education and Careers Expo”. The aim is to offer a more comprehensive career planning platform for students, individuals seeking further education, and visitors at different stages of their career paths.

In 2021, the Hong Kong Brands & Products Shopping Festival (Festival) was successfully launched as an extension of the traditional HKBPE. Held at the AsiaWorld-Expo, it provided a one-stop shopping and entertainment experience for citizens and tourists, while helping businesses capitalize on the summer retail peak season to boost sales. The 4th edition of the Festival continued its successes, attracting nearly 60,000 visitors over four days and generating a total sales revenue of HKD 60 million.

To further help Hong Kong enterprises understand Mainland and international markets development, CMAESL has successfully staged HKBPEs in various Mainland China cities since 2004, including Shanghai, Qingdao, Chengdu, Shenzhen, Nanning, Wuhan, Xiamen, Chongqing, Harbin, Tianjin and Dalian. Exhibitors can leverage these platform to promote their brands and products, explore new markets and foster business cooperation with different regions.

Moreover, to embrace technological advancements and help Hong Kong businesses seize new opportunities from growth of online shopping, CMAESL expanded its service to include virtual exhibition. The “Online HKBPE” was introduced to assist Hong Kong businesses, especially SMEs, in achieving digital transformation and tapping into the vast potential of e-commerce during 2016 to 2022.

In June 2025, the CMA will host the “2025 International Automotive and Supply Chain Expo (Hong Kong)” for the first time, injecting further momentum into Hong Kong economy.
